Why I do what I do
I code because I can action the changes and ideas I want to see in the world to impact people's lives in a positive way. I value people over work and believe strongly that there is value in doing something thoroughly. I help teams solve problems in simple ways and mentor people to challenge the status quo and themselves.
This is my Why statement. I got it by working through a fantastic course by Simon Sinek. I believe that doing things, doing them properly with deep understanding, tremendous energy, empathy and presentness comes from that why statement.
Below all the code sits a maker by nature. I love to tinker with things and mostly love spending time understanding how things work. I don't try and subscribe to any form of dogma or ruleset because we are in an industry that change so much and so often we rarely have the opportunity to get comfortable. That being said, getting comfortable is my signal to shake and bake.
Technology is an incredible tool and I am very fortunate to be able to wield it in a way to help businesses and people achieve their goals.
My goal with this site is to share stories, thoughts and ideas. I hope you enjoy them. Catch me on Twitter
